Opportunities

We are always interested in recruiting ambitious and talented undergraduate, summer, MSc and PhD students as well as postdoctoral associates.

Named project studentships are advertised here and on the School’s postgraduate web pages throughout the year. Our group welcomes applications from students who are eligible for departmental DTA studentships and University Scholarships. Prof Wilson is also a named supervisor on the White Rose BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership in Mechanistic Biology.

MSc applicants
The School of Chemistry offers a taught MSc program in Chemistry. Prof Wilson is an eligible supervisor for the project component on this program. 

Summer students
Prof Wilson is happy to support applicants interested in summer scholarship programs run by the University of Leeds, Wellcome Trust and the RSC. Interested applicants are advised to contact him in December/ January as many of these programs have early deadlines for application. 

MChem students
If you are interested in studying for an MChem please contact Prof Wilson at the earliest opportunity to discuss potential projects. 

Postdoctoral research opportunities
If you are interested in postdoctoral research opportunities in any area of the groups’ research remit you are welcome to send your curriculum vitae and a brief proposal outlining your scientific research interest and its alignment with our ongoing research.
